4 Labour Laws Replaced 29 Old Ones. Your Rights Changed. Did Anyone Tell You?
Parliament passed 4 Labour Codes replacing 29 old laws. Ram Kumar ji found out from LinkedIn.
📋 Wages Code 2019: Basic pay must be at least 50% of CTC. More PF deduction. Less take-home. Companies scrambled to restructure salary.
📋 Social Security Code 2020: Gig workers like Ola/Swiggy drivers now technically covered — but implementation date still pending as of 2026.
📋 Industrial Relations Code 2020: Companies up to 300 employees can now retrench workers without govt permission (was 100). Your job security: reduced.
📋 OSH Code 2020: Working hours can now go up to 12 hours/day — with overtime pay. But overtime pay enforcement is weak.
🕵️ Ram Kumar ji notices:
The new labour codes were passed during COVID lockdown when Parliament was thin. The codes give more flexibility to employers. Workers' unions were not consulted enough. Ask your HR if they told you about the Wages Code changes to your CTC.
🔍 Quick Check: Open your salary slip. Is your Basic Pay at least 50% of your gross salary? If not, your employer may not be compliant with the Wages Code 2019 yet.

The Real Cost of Getting Your Child Into a Good College
NEET cleared. JEE rank decent. Now comes the real exam: paying for it.

📊 IIT JEE: Only 11,279 seats in IITs. 12 lakh appeared in 2024. Success rate: 0.9%.
📊 Education loan: ₹20–40L at 10.5–13% interest. EMI starts 1 year after course ends.
📊 Starting salary for most private college graduates: ₹3–5 LPA. EMI: ₹25,000/month. Math doesn't work.

He took an education loan of ₹18 lakh for his MBA. He's been paying EMI for 6 years. He has paid ₹14 lakh in interest alone — more than the original principal. His degree got him a job that pays less than his senior who joined without an MBA.
📌 The NEET contradiction: Centre says NEET ensures quality. Tamil Nadu data shows rural and Hindi-medium students fail at higher rates. Vijayji has moved to abolish it in TN. The debate continues while Ram Kumar ji's child studies 16 hours a day in Kota.
